Overview

A heavier-duty top for the Nomad

The Nomad Pro is the Nomad folding welding table with an upgraded top. The 30" × 20" plate is 5/16" (8 mm) steel finished in manganese phosphate, with 150 Ø5/8" holes on a 2" grid for 5/8" clamps and fixturing tools.

Two locking handles hold the top flat or at an angle, and the folding base rolls on two casters with an eccentric foot to level it.

Buy it as the complete table (TUP3020-TS), or as the conversion kit (TUP3020-HF): the top and its support plates only, for a base you already own.

How it works

Set it, tilt it,
fold it away

Two pins set the height and two handles set the angle. Clear the top before you adjust, tilt or fold it.

  1. Nomad Pro height-adjustment post with bent locating pin on a chain and plastic locking knob

    Set the height

Loosen both knobs and pull both pins, move the two posts evenly, then re-pin and tighten. Two people support the top.

  2. Loosening the yellow locking handle on the Nomad Pro angle-adjustment plate

    Unlock the top

Loosen the two yellow locking handles and the top rotates on its angle-adjustment plates.

  3. Tilting the Nomad Pro tabletop to an angle and locking it with the handle

    Tilt and lock

Stop at a preset notch or anywhere between them, then retighten both handles to hold the angle.

  4. Nomad Pro tabletop rotated to vertical for folding and storage

    Fold and roll

Lock the top vertical, close the legs and roll the folded table away on its two casters.

5/8" System

Works with your 5/8" tools

FAQ

Questions, answered

Fit, adjusting, leveling and warranty.

Can I put the Pro top on my original Nomad?
Yes. Choose the TUP3020-HF conversion kit and bolt its support plates to the Nomad base in the standard orientation.
Will the conversion kit fit other welding table bases?
On a compatible third-party base, yes. Swap the left and right support plates so their holes line up with the base's hole pattern; no drilling of the top or the base. Check the alignment before you tighten the hardware.
Can I adjust or fold it with work on the top?
No. Take off all workpieces and accessories before you change the height, tilt the top or fold the table.
What angles does the top lock at?
Any angle from flat up to vertical. The angle plates have preset notches, and the two locking handles also hold the top anywhere in between. [CONFIRM: notch angles]
How do I level it on an uneven floor?
Turn the eccentric leveling foot. Clockwise raises that corner, counterclockwise lowers it; stop when every foot and caster sits firmly on the floor.
How much weight can it hold?
[CONFIRM: rated capacity] On the conversion kit, the limit is the lower of the top's rating and your base's rating.
What is the warranty?
One year, limited, against defects in materials and workmanship. Keep your proof of purchase and contact cs@stronghandtools.com.
