Enclosed External Hitch Mount · THV618-XV

Park the Truck. Keep the Vise.

A 2" receiver on a bolt-down plate. Drops the THV618 Trailer Hitch Vise onto a BuildPro table, a welding fixture, or any bench top, and four knurled screws pull it tight with no slop.

THV618-XV Product Overview

Park the truck, keep the vise. The THV618-XV is a 2" receiver tube welded to a flat steel plate. Bolt it to a BuildPro table, a welding fixture, or a wooden bench and the THV618 Trailer Hitch Vise slides in and pins in place exactly like it does on the truck.

The tube is enclosed on all four sides, so the vise shank never touches the table under it. Four 1/4-20 knurled thumb screws pull the shank tight against the tube: no slop, no rattle while you hammer or wrench on the vise.

Four 0.69" (17.5mm) holes on 4" (101.6mm) centers line up with 5/8" holes on 2" spacing (or 16mm on 50mm) for a direct drop onto fixture tables. Six 0.35" (9mm) holes let you lag it to any bench top. Steel, black oxide finish.

The plate is 8.0" x 5.6" (203 x 143mm) and 0.31" (8mm) thick. Flat and low, so the vise sits close to the table and the plate stays out of the way.

THV618 Trailer Hitch Vise

The THV618-XV is the shop half of the THV618. The vise rides in any 2" truck or trailer receiver; this mount gives it a second home on the table, so one vise covers the job site and the shop.

FAQ

Straight answers on what the THV618-XV fits, what it bolts to, and what comes in the box. Scroll the list for more.

Does the vise come with it?

No. The THV618-XV is the mount only. It is sized for the THV618 Trailer Hitch Vise, sold separately.

What tables does it bolt to?

BuildPro and any fixture table with 5/8" holes on 2" centers, or 16mm holes on 50mm centers. The four 0.69" (17.5mm) plate holes sit on 4" (101.6mm) centers, so they land on every other hole of the grid. Use 5/8" or 16mm bolts, or ball lock bolts.

Can I mount it to a wooden bench?

Yes. Six 0.35" (9mm) holes around the plate take lag screws or through-bolts, so it goes on a wood top, a steel bench, or a fixture.

Why is the tube enclosed?

The receiver is closed on all four sides, so the vise shank rides in steel and never touches the surface underneath. An open three-sided mount lets the shank rub on the table.

What are the knurled screws for?

Four 1/4-20 knurled thumb screws, two on top and two on the side, pull the vise shank tight against the tube. No slop or rattle when you hammer or wrench on the vise.

Does the hitch pin still lock the vise in?

Yes. A cross hole in the tube lines up with the vise's hitch pin, so it pins in place the same way it does in a truck receiver.

Is mounting hardware included?

The four knurled thumb screws are included. Table bolts and bench screws are not, since the right fastener depends on what you mount it to. The hitch pin and R-clip come with the THV618 vise.

How big is it?

The plate is 8.0" x 5.6" (203 x 143mm) and 0.31" (8mm) thick. With the tube and thumb screws it stands 3.7" (95mm) tall.

What is it made of?

Steel with a black oxide finish.
